Today in class we did the following:

□ 1. Vocabulary words 1 - 20

□ 2. Homework: Vocabulary words 1 – 20 x 4, defs x 1, 5 sentences using two vocabulary words

 

1.     pleasant  adj.enjoyable, attractive, friendly, or easy to like

2.     reminder  n.a person or thing that makes you remember a particular person, event, or situation

3.     provide  v.to give something that is needed or wanted to someone

4.     tissue  n.a group of connected cells in an animal or plant that are similar to each other, have the same purpose, and form the stated part of the animal or plant

5.     chemical  n./adj. any basic substance that is used in or produced by a reaction involving changes to atoms or molecules; relating to chemicals

6.     reindeer  n. a type of deer with large horns that lives in the northern parts of Europe, Asia, and North America

7.     release  v. to give freedom or free movement to someone or something

8.     in the midst  phr. – in the middle of; during

9.     lichen  n. a grey, green, or yellow plant-like organism that grows on rocks, walls, and trees

10. biologist  n.a scientist who studies biology
