 Dear Parents,

Today in class we did the following:

□ 1. Vocabulary words 16 – 30, Read The Skunk Ladder

□ 2. RWN Pages 322 - 324

□ 3. Homework: Vocabulary words 16 – 30 x 4, defs x 1, 5 sentences using two vocabulary words

  1. fade (v.)- to lose color, brightness, or strength gradually
  2. ponder (v.)- to think carefully about something, especially for a noticeable length of time
  3. possibility (n.)- a chance that something may happen or be true
  4. drag (v.)- to move something by pulling it along a surface, usually the ground
  5. undergo (v.)- to experience something that is unpleasant or something that involves a change
  6. fit (n.)- a sudden attack of illness when someone cannot control their movements and becomes unconscious
  7. hysteria (n.)- extreme fear, excitement, anger, etc. that cannot be controlled
  8. tedious (adj.)- boring
  9. approach (v.)- to come near or nearer to something or someone in space, time, quality, or amount
  10. odor (n.)- a particular smell, esp. a bad one
  11. nostril (n.)- either of the two openings in the nose through which air moves when you breathe
  12. plummet (v.)- to fall very quickly and suddenly
  13. inclination (n.)- a feeling that you want to do a particular thing, or the fact that you prefer or are more likely to do a particular thing
  14. peek (v.)- to look, especially for a short time or while trying to avoid being seen

stride (v.)- to walk somewhere quickly with long steps
