Today in class we did the following:

□ 1. Vocabulary words 1 - 15

□ 2. Homework: Vocabulary words 1 – 15 x 4, defs x 1, 5 sentences using two vocabulary words

All exams have been sent home today. Please sign and return them as soon as possible.

1. limelight: the center of public attention

2. hesitation: an act or instance of hesitating

3. somersault: a movement (as in gymnastics) in which a person turns forward or backward in a complete revolution along the ground or in the air bringing the feet over the head

4. gymnastics: physical exercises designed to develop strength and coordination

11. backyard: an area at the rear of a house

12. breathed: having breath especially of a specified kind

13. straightest: free from curves, bends, angles, or irregularities

14. passengers: a traveler in a public or private conveyance

15. appreciative: having or showing appreciation
